April 02, 2024

Mary Lynn Marler Winham, of Lawton, passed away on March 27, 2024, age 87. Mary Lynn was born in 1937 to Marie and Wilbur Marler in Lawton. Mary Lynn was involved in Bluebirds and Campfire Girls, and was the first homecoming queen at the newly finished Lawton High School, in 1955. Mary Lynn married her high school sweetheart, Alvin Winham (football captain), after graduating high school. Around 1980, Mary Lynn started her Avon career, that would span over the next 30 some years. Her success with Avon brought her multiple awards and great friendships with her customers. Mary Lynn enjoyed growing her flowers outside, watching her hummingbirds, singing songs to her cats while patting her leg with a beat, in her nightgown and robe in the mornings sunshine. Most of all, she and dad enjoyed Saturday nights with their kids and grandkids, grilling burgers, having her homemade onion dip, and catching up on everyone’s lives.

Mary Lynn is survived by her husband of 69 years, Alvin Winham; senior of the home, four children: daughter Pam Allen and husband Robert of Enid, daughter Teri Runnels and husband Kint of Chattanooga, daughter Kim Roggow and husband Lyle of Duncan, and son Alvin Winham Jr. and wife Charissa of Cache; 11 grandchildren: Keri Stanton, Jason Repp, Keli Eck, David Nix, Jennifer Gibson, Audrey Johnson, Sean Grasso, Lauren Chitwood, Seth Roggow, Lauren Ackley and Madison Winham and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the family farm.
