Barry Bruce Asenap

Funeral Service for Barry Bruce Asenap, 55, Indiahoma, will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Indiahoma with the Pastor Scott Patton officiating. The family will host a visitation and viewing from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Indiahoma.

He died April 24, 2024 in Oklahoma City.

Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery, Indiahoma, under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home, Lawton.

Barry was born Sept. 2, 1968 to Mike and Margala Asenap in Lawton. He grew up in the Indiahoma area and attended Snyder Public Schools where he graduated in 1989.

He was employed by Snyder Public School and Reed & Asenap Custodial Services, where he was chosen SPS Custodian of the year in 2007-2008. He also was an avid Texas Longhorn and WWE wrestling fan. He enjoyed playing video games, watching T.V. and playing with his fur babies Gadget, Gizmo, and Molly.

Barry became a christian on Sep. 20, 2018 and was ordained a Deacon of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at FBC, Indiahoma on July 21, 2019. He was a proud member of the Comanche Tribe.

Barry is survived by his mother, Margala Asenap, Indiahoma; Aunt and Uncle Judy and Larry Gordon, Cache; cousins: Melissa and Terry Quisenberry; Christopher Gordon, and Riley Jones, and numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mike Asenap; grandparents, Walter and Beth Glazbrook; grandfather, Marvin Carter; and great Aunt Rhoda Tate.
