James McCracken

Funeral service for James McCracken, 90, of Lawton, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at New Life Assembly of God Church, Cache, OK, with Carol McCracken officiating. 

 Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

 Mr. McCracken passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024. 

 Viewing will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. 

 James was born on November 21, 1933 in Lawton, Oklahoma to M.T. and Hazel McCracken. He lived in Comanche County his entire life where he enjoyed farming and raising livestock. Mr. McCracken loved his family, especially his wife of 35 years, Julia. 

 He is survived by his wife, Julia; his sister, Terry Lou McCracken; his brother, Bill McCracken; and his brother in law, Michael Dowling. 

 Mr. McCracken is preceded in death by his daddy and his sisters, Debra Dowling and Lynda McCracken.
