Teresa Jan (Morgan) Fischer was born December 7, 1955, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Charles Edward and Eva Mae (Wade) Morgan.  She attended Cache Public School, graduating from Cache High School with the Class of 1974; she later attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.  On March 5, 1976, she and Arnold Dale Fischer were united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in Cache.  To this union was born three children, Taira, Trevan, and Brannon Fischer.  Jan worked for many years as school secretary for the Lawton Public School System, retiring in 2020.
Jan enjoyed telling stories of time spent with the Alexander kids growing up and all the adventures they got into; she had a horse named, “Gray Boy”, they all enjoyed riding. She was active in basketball and passed down the love of the sport to her own children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed watching OU Football, but most of all cheering and supporting her grandkids playing any sport, showing animals, or whatever dream they were chasing at the moment. Jan began playing the piano at First Baptist Church Cache as a teenager and continued for almost 50 years, playing both the organ and piano. After her retirement from Lawton Public School, she had time to spend with family and friends. You could find Jan with Arnold checking cattle, fixing fence, cooking for harvest, but most often than not you would find her in her spot at basketball and softball games. Jan enjoyed catching up with childhood friends, playing cards, dominos, listening and playing old gospel music, and having “singings”.  Jan fought from day one with the mindset that “God is Bigger”. She left this world peaceful with a smile and told her family the last day, “Don’t forget God is Bigger”.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Arnold Fischer of the home; her mother-in-law, Mary Fischer of rural Indiahoma, Oklahoma; one daughter, Taira Fischer (Seth Harless) of rural Chattanooga, Oklahoma; one son, Trevan Fischer (Lance Radford) of Los Angles, California; six grandchildren, Kadyn Fischer (Dallee Groves), Maecy Fischer, Bradyn Kellam, Ava Radford-Fischer, Zack Crossan, and Dustin Crossan; one sister, Jennifer Barrington (Don) of Granbury, Texas; two brothers, Tyson Morgan (Jan) of rural Cache, Oklahoma, and Jalynn Morgan (Candie) of rural Cache, Oklahoma; two brothers-in-law, Leon Fischer (Christy) of Chattanooga, Oklahoma, and Tim Fischer (Doreen) of Indiahoma, Oklahoma.  She is also survived by: “The Alexander Family”, who Jan considered the family to be dear close family members; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eva Mae Morgan; her father-in-law, Sam Fischer; and a infant son, Brannon Fischer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Public School, Athletic Fund, in memory or Jan (Morgan) Fischer.
