Craig Eldon Cable “Craigy” “Squiggy” “Squirrel” “Craigy Mac” entered into eternal rest on Dec. 22nd, 2024. He was born to John Robert Cable and Carlene Atauvich-Collins on Sept. 11th, 1984. Craig was a proud full blood member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma.
Craig earned his GED and pursued a career in IT. He went on to obtain a certification in Information Technology from Great Plains Technology Center in May of 2015. He was immediately hired into the Comanche Nation IT Department on June 1st, 2015. He worked for the Comanche Nation for a total of 9 years and 6 months.
Craig proudly serviced the Comanche Nation programs and employees. He also assisted in the live streaming and set up of the CBC Meetings, General Council Meetings, and The Comanche Nation Fair. Craig was also a beloved member of the Association of Comanche Employees (A.C.E).
Craig had a calm and reassuring nature, which radiated throughout his whole life. He departed to his heavenly home suddenly, and his absence is felt tremendously by all whom had the chance to know him.
He is survived by his mother Carlene; he shared a beloved relationship with Kristine and helped raise her son DJ; siblings Christopher Cable of Camp 7 Cache, Okla.; Caleigh, Tyler and Taylor Collins of Carrollton, Tex.; brothers and sisters Deon, Devon, Sean, Garrett, Geramey, Keenen, Keeven, Michael, Greg, Corey, Brandon, Geordon, Joey, Rebecca Tahchawwickah, Amy, Shonda, Hannah, Amanda, Kasey, Kari, Kendra, Kalicia, Tanisha, and Nicole; Aunts and Uncles whom he took as his moms and dads Donna, Tonyelle and Gary Unah, Steve and Darla Cable, Sue Kowena, and Kent.
He is preceded in death by his father John Robert Cable, maternal grandparents Carl Eldon Atauvich and Carla (Tahah) Atauvich; paternal grandparents Vernon and Gloria Cable; aunts Geraldine Wermy, Arletta Wermy, Renita Cable-Maxey, Owenetta Atauvich Long, and Norma Cable; uncles Dale Cable and Tony Cable.
Prayer Service was 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29th, 2024. Funeral Service was 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30th, 2024. Both services were held at the Comanche Nation Complex: Watchetaker Hall with Tina Baker officiating. Burial followed at Deyo Mission Cemetery under the direction of the Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
