Betty was raised near Alfalfa, Oklahoma, and attended Alfalfa School through the 8th grade. On May 4, 1955, she married the love of her life, Guy Edd Dodd, in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Following his military service, they settled in Lawton, Oklahoma, where Betty was a dedicated homemaker and secretary for Guy's Plumbing Company.

Betty had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping and fishing in the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge and the Slick Hills. She had a passion for crafting, sewing, and crocheting, and she was always willing to babysit for family and friends. Betty also found joy in bowling and staying active by exercising to Richard Simmons' Sweatin' to the Oldies.

A talented cook and baker, Betty loved trying new recipes, but her most beloved creation was her own special version of Rice Krispie Treats-a treat she and Guy enjoyed making together.

Betty will be remembered for her creativity, warm heart, and joyful spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Betty is survived by her children Eddie Dodd and wife Dawn of Comanche, Texas, Laurie Myers and husband Monty of Mesquite, Texas, Bobby Dodd and wife Marla of Lawton, Oklahoma and Donald Williams and wife Darla of Tryon, Oklahoma.
