December 29, 2025
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ricky Horse (Anadarko,
Oklahoma), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ricky
departed this world on December 25, 2025 at the age of 67,
surrounded by many friends and family. During the first part of his
life's journey Ricky was born on June 16, 1958 at Lawton IHS and
resided at Meer's Oklahoma. Later he moved to "Hog Creek" and
from there to Carnegie along with all his siblings where he attended
and graduated from the Carnegie Public School. Ricky was the 3 rd
oldest of 6 brothers and one sister. Ricky was a natural born leader
and took the role of a big brother to a level of dedication,
disciplinarian and respect to his family and his community. At
the age of 16 Ricky built his first construction project by adding to
his family home an additional room to accommodate the family's
growing size. He also won various awards at the Caddo-Kiowa
Vocational Center for his skills and techniques of various labors of
electrical, plumbing and welding. At a young age Ricky would help
out in the tribal communities and abroad with those talents & skills
and sometimes would receive a humble payment such as: fresh eggs,
bread, canned goods and on occasion a monetary payment. In the
past 50 years Ricky worked as a self-employed construction
contractor while serving in the ministry as a children's Royal Rangers
Leader, Victory Assembly of God Church Builder, Methodist Lay
Leader, Pastoral Assistant, and later a Methodist Minister to various
Methodist Churches such as, Petarsy, JJ Methvin and Apache UMC.
Rickey truly loved his life's calling in serving the Lord and his people
in all aspects. At the age of 32 years old, Ricky met and married
