Patricka Joy Reavis, born June 12, 1945, to Daniel and Sophia Sternad, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by strength, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to serving others.
In 1980, Patricka married Donald Reavis, and together they shared many years of companionship, partnership, and adventure. She was a strong and independent woman who lived life on her own terms, guided by determination, generosity, and a deep sense of purpose. Patricka had a profound love for animals and never turned away a stray, offering care, shelter, and compassion without hesitation. Her dedication to service extended beyond her home and into the community, where she volunteered countless hours with the Comanche County Sheriff’s Department, earning respect for her reliability, courage, and willingness to help whenever needed.
She also looked forward each year to participating in community events such as the Easter pageant, where she proudly played the role of the angel.
A talented and passionate cook, Patricka won cooking competitions and later fulfilled a lifelong goal by owning and operating her own restaurant, where she brought people together through food, hard work, and hospitality. She also loved travel and new experiences. She and her husband lived in Germany for a time, embracing the culture and enjoying opportunities to explore and travel together. Adventure remained a constant throughout Patricka’s life. She loved riding her pink, custom Harley-Davidson trike, a true reflection of her creativity and individuality. Its unique color and design earned her awards at competitions and brought her great pride and joy.
She is survived by her five children: Jerry Lee, Elisabeth, Matthew, Susan, and Christopher; as well as her stepdaughter, Christine. She is also survived by her brothers, Andy and George; 14 cherished grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Patricka is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Sophia Sternad; her husband, Don Reavis; her stepson, Andy; and her granddaughter, Crysta.
She will be remembered for her strength, her caring heart, her adventurous spirit, and the deep love she held for her family. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the family she loved.
