Geneva M. (Webb) Simmons

April 15, 2026

Geneva M. (Webb) Simmons, 95, of Cache, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2026, at her home in Cache. She passed surrounded by God's love, her family, and attended by His heavenly angels.

Born on March 24, 1931, in San Angelo, Texas, to Myrtle D. (Roach) Webb and James A. Webb, Geneva lived a long and faithful life marked by quiet strength, compassion, an encouraging spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and, most of all, to God.

A lifelong Christian and faithful member of Cache Christian Church, Geneva lived her faith every day and served as a shining inspiration to all who knew her. She graduated as valedictorian from Cache High School in 1950. After attending accounting classes at Cameron University in the early 1960s, she enjoyed a full career in the Civilian Civil Service at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, beginning in Finance and Accounting and later in Computer Systems and Information Technology at Reynolds Army Community Hospital.

Geneva and her beloved husband, Lonnie P. Simmons, made their home and raised their family in Cache. The family was blessed with international adventures, living for periods in Ponce, Puerto Rico (1970), Kandahar, Afghanistan (1976), and Tehran, Iran (1978). An exemplary wife, mother, housekeeper, and business partner, Geneva gave generously of herself to her family and to all their endeavors. She was an excellent seamstress and family cook. Her artistic talents included embroidery, cross-stitch, crochet, drawing, and oil painting.

She found great joy in life's simple blessings like her family, her church, and her love for flowers of all kinds. She cherished her home's beautiful flower gardens, the songs of the birds in her trees, and feeding her hummingbirds.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie P. Simmons; her daughter, Ramona G. Simmons; her granddaughter, Aimee D. (Simmons) Bess; her grandson-in-law, Gary Bess; her parents, Myrtle D. Roach and James A. Webb; and her brothers, James, Guy, Hubert, and Johnny Webb.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Simmons and his wife Deborah of Cache, Oklahoma, and Scott Simmons and his wife Victoria of Cache, Oklahoma.

She is also survived by her grandchildren and their families:
