Funeral service for Jacquita Roberts will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026 in the Cameron Baptist Church Fellowship Center with Rev. Mike Teel officiating.
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Cement Cemetery, Cement, Oklahoma under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Jacquita Roberts died Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. She was born September 25, 1936, in Cement, Oklahoma, to Roy and Dorothy (Dean) Sconyers. She grew up in Cement and was a 1954 graduate of Cement High School.
Following graduation, Jacquita worked as a telephone operator before marrying Freeman F. Roberts on June 29, 1956, in Cement. The couple moved to Lawton in the spring of 1964 and, in the fall of 1973, moved to their farm southwest of Lawton. Freeman preceded her in death on September 13, 2015.
Jacquita worked for 24 years as a receptionist and leader with Weight Watchers. She was also a gifted seamstress who made many clothes for herself, her children, and her grandchildren. Her sewing talents earned her numerous blue ribbons at the county fair for the things she created.

For nearly 40 years, Jacquita was a member of the Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) group, where she served as County President. She was active in many of the organization's activities and had the opportunity to attend several national meetings.
Jacquita was a member of Cameron Baptist Church and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School at both congregations and enjoyed sharing her faith with others.
She loved gardening and canning and took great pride in the things she grew and prepared.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Patty and Oscar Codopony, Freda and Robert Bishop, Freddy and Lee Roberts, and Darla and Richard McCauley; grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Marissa Codopony, Tiffany and Dr. Dustin Smith, Ryan and Margaret McCauley, Robert and Ashley Codopony, Ross and Candy McCauley, Ashley and Jeremy Whitecotton, Dr. Shelby Roberts, Dr. Katie and Ethan Driver, Dr Lacey and Kyle Hill and Flint Roberts; great grandchildren, Kaydence, Malory, KarieAnn, Bishop, Jaxon, Leon, Tytus, Harper, Rhett, Emma, Hunter, George, Michael, Eli, Maisie, Maeve and Harriet; her sister and brother-in-law, Rowanna and Dale Hargus; her brother-in-law, D.R. Clift; her sister-in-law, Suzette Ezzell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents, her daughter, Sandra Roberts, her sister, Rebecca Clift, and her grandson, Tyson Bishop, preceded her in death.

The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Brentwood Senior Living for all the comfort, care and compassion given Mom during her time there. Also, a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Centric Hospice Care, who went above and beyond caring for Mom in her last year.
