Bobby Lee Couch

Funeral service for Bobby Lee Couch, 90, of Cache, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Wichita Baptist Church in Cache, Oklahoma with his brothers, Rev. Jerry Couch and Ken Couch, officiating. 
 
Mr. Couch passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 in Lawton.
 
Burial will be held at Faxon Cemetery, Faxon, OK under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
 
Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a special viewing and visitation for family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
 
Bob was born on October 26, 1934 in Frederick, Oklahoma to William Roy Lee and Lillian Catira (Smith) Couch. He grew up in the Post Oak Community by Cache, Oklahoma. He attended Pleasant Valley and Cache schools, moving to Chattanooga his senior year, graduating from Chattanooga High School in 1954. He married Wilma Jean Allen on August 14, 1954 in Faxon, Oklahoma where they lived for awhile before moving to Texas and later to Louisiana and Arkansas, during Bob's service in the United States Army. They later returned to Southwest Oklahoma, living in Faxon, Grandfield, and Cache, OK. Mr. Couch was an educator and taught mathematics at Lawton High School for several years. He also served as pastor at many churches including Paradise Valley, Antioch Baptist Church, Devol, Hollister, and Cache. Bob was handy around the house and always took care of his church property. He was often called "Dr. Dad" removing stitches, and pulling those loose teeth. He enjoyed puzzles of all kinds and working in his yard, especially digging in the dirt. He will be missed by all who knew him. 
 
He is survived by his wife, of 70 years, Jeanne Couch, of the home; two sons and daughters in law, Tim and Barbara Gayle Couch, of Afton, OK and Kelly and Kristen Couch, of Davis, OK; his daughter and son in law, Kim and Gary Rinker, of Perryton, TX; his daughter in law, Lee Couch, of Rockport, TX; his sister and brother in law, Yvonne and Billy Allen, of Lawton, OK; his brothers and their spouses, James and Jean Couch, of Wilton, CA, Kenneth Couch, of Lawton, and Jerry and Eleanor Couch, of Marlow, OK;  his sister in law, Mary Couch, of Bokchito, OK; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. 
 
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Terry Couch; his brother, Royce "Copper" Couch; his nephew, Brian Couch; and his sisters in law, Sue Couch and Judy Jenkins.
